Fighting against Death Penalty since 1999

The death penalty has been proven ineffective at reducing crime rates/working as a deterrent, or serving any purpose intrinsic to society's needs. Instead it simply perpetuates suffering through further merciless action, similar in context to the original crime that justice is meant to resolve.
By using the same brutal mentality as a criminal in response to any crime the injustice is just displaced unto others, (the criminals family), who are just as innocent as the original victim. This creates a virtual game of catch with injustice, rather than resolving it through non-lethal means, improving society for all in a manner that is void of inconsiderate selfish action.
Unfortunately many public systems throughout the world allow poverty to flourish, and as a result sub cultures where violence become the norm appear; creating criminals out of otherwise good people. For this reason I think true form justice should, and can, be achieved through incarceration and educative reform, giving those whom the system has failed the chance to grow, rather than throwing them away as if they were simply born bad.
