Sometimes you just need to pay tribute to all those that have helped you along the way, and that is what I am doing today...

 

Thank you to those of you who read me... who give me your time. I know it is precious and I appreciate it greatly. Thank you to those of you that believe in me, those of you who know who I am and what I stand for... to those of you who don't but stand by me still. To Karmen, who gave up her life for me, who put her trust in me... to my wife, who gives me her life every single day.

 

I thank those who disagree with me, with us, but keep it to themselves, because that is respect too. I thank my allies behind these walls who have taught me what it is like to be a man in spite of where I am at... who taught me about pride in myself... who showed me that judgment isn't the end of the world, it's only a small piece of it.

 

I thank my mom and dad, whom I love and miss madly. They were life to me... everything that life has ever been to me, I saw in them !!! I saw it that way because of them !!! I thank my sister, whom I miss at well, it's still just us Rose !!!

 

I'm thankful to wake up and see all the men and women of D/R alive and well, and ready for the days fight !!! I'm thankful for the change in them... I'm thankful that we get to take part in the struggle together !

 

Life is what you make. I'm here, but I have lost nothing, b/c in my eyes, the fight isn't over... No, it's just begun. I get up everyday with a purpose, with a mission that goes beyond my own goals (personally), I don't just see Tyree, I see and feel for the world !!! The whole D/R population !!! I carry them on my back with great pride, because being human isn't anything to be ashamed of, not in my eyes anyway.

 

I say thank you, because they matter... It matters to me that you know where I stand, away from what I do here. Who you all are as people matters to me. Man or woman, you're all in my heart, and I thank you for having me in yours.

 

It's never easy to say how you feel, because the feelings and the words get mixed up sometimes, but I am lucky to have you all... I am lucky to be able to talk to you this way, and I am lucky to read your responses... THANKS !

I close my eyes every nite and wish for the next day to be the day that the D/P is abolished all over the world. I even wait and listen at the news on my radio before I get up to see if my wish came true... and I also wish to grow close with my comrades, my brothers and sisters who believe as I do. We are family, all of us, you know ? And that too, is a gift that I will never be able to thank you all for.
