Your name is “Chocolate aka Heart of Gold” and I want to share something with all our friends who read this website, from abroad, the United States or are sitting on death rows: When we cross the Ocean or come from the USA, it is to meet precious loved ones and friends because that’s what you are indeed !

Maybe our very first reason was to support you because we are strong abolitionists but soon we understood that many of you guys gave us maybe more than we can ever give back to you.

My dearest “Chocolate”, I met so many guys on different death rows.  Like in the outside world, some are good and some are bad……. Some are guilty, some are innocent people……  some are fair and some are not !   a microcosm of the “outside world” after all, as men are alike everywhere.

I met some wonderful people who are my friends today and was glad to meet them once again this summer.  Some of them did a mistake but they are now wonderful people who deserve the second chance they would find in our European countries.

Myriam and ReggieI met you, thanks to John and his wife,  and it is “I” who has to thank you for the wonderful gift you give to Big B, Lil B and myself, day after day.  Your affection, your kindness, your inability to lie, the way you have to always care about us, about the other inmates, never about you :  what a wonderful gift to demand us to still have faith in people because if I haven’t met you, maybe I would have lost a lot of my faith in  human beings.

I know you should never be in the place you are !  I know you didn’t do what they say.  I know you are a scapegoat…….oh yes I do.

You call yourself a “bonehead”, and I call you a “heart of gold”……..

As I said, I have met wonderful people on the row but I  met also people with a high IQ who are nasty, who are vicious, pathological chronic liars and so…so perverse,  people who give lessons all the time when they are the very last ones who should be allowed to give lessons !  You, you are modest and discreet when “you” could give so many lessons of kindness, fairness and compassion to a lot of persons.  You, you don’t reach that IQ level of 70 but your heart is bigger than Texas and... you call yourself a “bonehead” ? I wish the world could be full of “boneheads” like you, it would be the Garden of Eden.

And I would like to add this to you our dear friend. I give no more than I receive from you guys.. A smile. Trust.. Love.. Friendship like no other..  I have never felt so much love in my  life. Of course there are those that use it.. But there are many more of them that accept it as a gift and ask no questions nor expect nothing.. Just as a true friend would do..
